This episode's guest Amber Jolly (she/they) is a 2nd year PhD student at University of California Irvine, interested in looking into physiology of different Avocado varieties and also working on a climate change project in Mediterranean region. They converted from being a Film major to biology, listen to this story. One of their lookout for life is being a lifelong learner and she advice to learn from rejection in academia. 

They are a part of online mentoring platform from USC, where student's doubts get cleared by mentor like them, listen to the experience.

She also described STEM being more LGBTQ+ inclusive with time and about their experience of being a non-binary in academia, their new year resolution to try new activities more.

Becca is currently doing her PhD from University of Utah, investigating role of platelets in inflammatory diseases, with extreme passion about her work she talks about how PLATELETS ARE COOL! Listen to more about her protein of interest and disease model in the episode.

Amy Houseman is currently doing her PhD on Cancer Genetics focused on Colorectal Cancer from Cardiff University. She has talked about how she gained experienced by putting forward her interests through cold emails and encourages to network as much as can.  Being a queer in STEM field also enlightens the need for more inclusivity and how online community is moving forward. She shared her journey till now and her goals in future.

Laura Duval, working on rehabilitation and walking after stroke through data analysis and simulation, is doing her PhD at University of Auckland, she has earned her previous degree from Montreal, Canada where she also taught Neuroscience to high school kids. Listen to her goal of making science more inclusive for all and become a professor.

This episode's guest Arya Sidharthan, is 5th year Conservational Biology/Molecular Ecology PhD student at Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean studies, talks about how her interest shapes into the field, described her work and future plans, she also talks about networking in science. On top of being very passionate about her work, she is trained dancer and advocates pursuing hobbies to keep mind sharp and joyful.

Palina Kot, an MS in Biomedical science student going to PhD at Nagasaki University, doing her research on DNA repair. She was also an Assistant Professor and volunteered at UNICEF. Her story depicts the kind of perseverance she had and is continuing to show to pursue a career in science.

In addition to her scientific contribution, she is also an illustrator, showing the world that how science can be illustrated in a very artistic way and is a part of Nagazasshi magazine.

Priyanka, going to start her Ph.D. in Mineral Physics, this August, has been brilliant in all aspects of her academia, and her future goal involves being scientist and encouraging more girls to be in the field of GEOLOGY.
